No electricity except with a few solar panels and no running water but the kindness of inhabitants and a traditional Melanesian way of life for this small Vanuatu volcanic island. Located close to the north of Efate, the main island of vanuatu archipelago, N'Guna welcomes visitors in traditional huts. Locals can help to reach the top of the old volcano by walking through the forest and the bush. A marine protected area between N'Guna, Pele and Effate allows snorkelers to discover marine wildlife. Anyway the south coast of N'Guna was already managed since old times by villages chiefs following Melanesian cultural and administrative rules.
