Lundy is an heritage island located in the Celtic sea in the South West of England. It is owned by the National Trust a charity organization who managed a huge quantity of wild places in England,Wales and North Ireland. It's a nice wild destination for walking, climbing, snorkeling, diving . It can be easily reached with a typical ship the MS Oldenburg after a 2 hours trip. Lundy island is today again a birds nesting place after the Trust has eradicated the rats that were visiting nests for eating birds eggs. Today quantities of birds especially Puffins and Shearwaters are nesting again in the cliffs around the island. Lundy is a Marine Protected area and a Marine Conservation Zone since 2010. It is possible to rent 23 different houses from a castle to a lighthouse , a fisherman house or a Victorian gentleman house for a short time or a week-end. Most of them offer fantastic scenic points of view in different Lundy areas . There is a Tavern, a church, some electricity from 6.00 AM to 12.00 PM, no telephone, internet and so on... Breakfast is available at the tavern and food in a general store.
