The Cycas seemannii is a small tree endemic of a few South Pacific islands : Fidji, Vanuatu, Tonga and New-Caledonia. Here in the gardens of the Tjibaou cultural center in Noumea New-Caledonia. The fruit is made of spatulas which hide seeds. It is a sacred plant present nearby the chief hut. Seeds are used for traditional dances in New-Caledonia as well as in Vanuatu.
