Caledonian pines Isle of Pines

Caledonian pines or Cook pines ( Araucaria Columnaris) are endemic of New-Caledonia where they grow along the coasts. Cook during his round the world navigation discovered these species that can reach 60 meters high. Story tells that when arriving near Isle of Pines he believed that an armada was moored in the lagoon.
