Ureparapara is one of the most worldwide singular island. The island is an old volcano with a part of its sides which has collapsed occasioning the immersion of the caldera. The old caldera is today a deep bay where any sailing boats stop from time to time. There is no regular maritime lines , no plane. There are two small villages with a total of about 450 Melanesian inhabitants.
