Sardinia is a very nice mountainous island very apart from all others Mediterranean ones. Landscapes inside the island as well as along the coasts are gorgeous. Plenty of creeks, bays, islets and harbors allow the practice of any kind of sea activity. The Sardinian culture , also called Nuragic culture , is unique in Mediterranean. You cannot fail to discover it even though museums and historic spots are opened to visitors whole year all over the island. Although at a short distance from Italy it is significative to learn that the powerful ancient city of Rome never arrived to conquer the totality of the island.
